We have exciting news -
Our residency program is open for applicants again!
We are accepting proposals for residencies of up to 4 weeks over the course of the 2023/2024 academic school year, beginning September 1st 2023 and running until June 30th 2024.

A few other updates from the busy past month:
Our director Lori Emerson and the MAL got a shout out in a piece published in Wired, “Why the Floppy Disk Just Won’t Die”, also republished in Ars Technica. Lori also gave a keynote presentation for the University of Arizona’s School of Information titled "Excavating Future Histories of Technology, From Gadgets to Networks.”
MAL Pal Spike helped a visiting researcher to do some forensic disk imaging of the thing.net BBS hardware in our collection.
MAL Pal Devon organized and hosted a retro gaming night (including an N64 MarioKart Tournament) for graduate students here at CU.
Lab manager libi rose striegl gave a short talk titled “Practicalities of Media Archaeology” in a panel on Media Archaeologies organized by the Toronto Film & Media Seminar.
